Chinese New Year Celebration February 6, 2010 

5:00- 6:00 p.m. Registration, shopping, crafts, and games

6:00 -7:00 p.m. Dinner by Oriental House Restaurant

6:30 -7:00 p.m. Entertainment 

7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Crafts, games, shopping, photo booth and silent auction

Location: Louisville Collegiate School, 2427 Glenmary Avenue, Louisville (Enter school building through the Ray Street entrance)

Directions: Take Exit 8 off I-64 onto Grinstead Drive. Follow Grinstead until you see Ray Streeton your left. Take left turn onto Ray Street. Take first right into Louisville Collegiate School parking lot on Ray Street.

Parking: The parking lots at the Louisville Collegiate School have limited space. There is a small lot at the Ray Street entrance to the school and a second lot across Ray Street. To get to this satellite lot, take the first left off Ray down the brick alley and the parking lot is on your left. If both lots are full, you will need to park your car on one of the nearby residential streets in the Cherokee Triangle neighborhood. We strongly suggest that you have your driver drop your party off at the Ray Street Entrance first and then find a location to park the car: You may have to walk back to the school. We will have student volunteers at the door to help direct you to available parking.

Please print the registration form that follows, fill it out,

make your check payable to “FCC-Louisville Chapter,”

and return it before January 30, 2010.

Registration will be limited to 500 people.

Costs are:

Adult FCC members $14.00 per adult

Adult non FCC members $24.00 per adult

Children age 3-12 (FCC member) $6.00 per child  

Children age 3-12 (non FCC member) $8.00 per child

Children 2 and under are free

Registration and payment must be made in advance.

2009 AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL

Gallrein Farms, 1029 Vigo Road, Shelbyville, KY

Time: 3:30 p.m. until dusk

Schedule:

3:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Picnic Barn Activities: socializing, crafts, tattoos for the kids and “daring adults”, coloring, writing notes to birth parents and others you love.

Outdoor activities: pumpkin picking ($6 per pumpkin), corn maze ($2 per person), petting zoo, hay bale climb, outdoor volleyball courts, kite flying (bring your kite and games), and more! Outdoor activities, weather permitting.

Please note: If you choose to go on the hayride and pick a pumpkin, there is a $6 charge no matter how big or small the pumpkin you choose. The $6 fee is only for the ones choosing a pumpkin. In other words, parents taking their children out to the pumpkin patch will only pay $6 each for the number of pumpkins picked. If you want to navigate through the 3-acre corn maze, there is a $2 charge per person. Both activities may be added to the registration form below and you will receive your ticket(s) at the festival.

5:00 - 6:00 p.m. “Firefresh BBQ” Buffet in the Picnic Barn

6:15 – 6:45 p.m. Balloon release (with notes to loved ones), Clean-up!

Dusk Lantern Parade: Please bring a decorated and lighted lantern

for each child.

Volunteers: We really need volunteers to help with set-up, registration, crafts and activities, food, and clean up. Please consider volunteering to help make this a fun event for all in attendance. It takes everyone’s involvement to make the Moon Festival a fun event for all who attend! Thanks!

Directions to Gallrein Farms (from Louisville):

- Take I-64 East to Exit 35 - Shelbyville (2^nd Shelbyville Exit)

- At the end of the exit at the light, turn left onto KY-53/Mt. Eden Road

- At the 3^rd light (with a McDonald‘s on the left), KY-53 turns into KY-55 North/Boone

Station Road -- stay straight onto KY-55 North.

- At the next light, turn right onto KY-43/Cropper Road and travel about 1.7 miles.

- Turn right onto 1005 East/Vigo Road and go about one mile.

- Gallrein Farms (1029 Vigo Road, Phone: 502-633-4849) will be on the right.
